Martin Dewez, CIA, CISA, is Director, Business Risk Services at Grant Thornton Luxembourg.
He has over 10 years of experience in internal audit services.
Martin has been serving a varied portfolio of Internal Audit clients (under both outsourcing and co-sourcing operating models), covering most types of regulated financial institutions in Luxembourg: Credit Institutions, Investment Firms, Investment Fund Managers, Specialised and Support PFS, Payment Institution as well as a few reinsurance captives.
Today Martin leads the day-to-day operations of the BRS practice and a team of internal audit professionals and ensures the smooth and complete delivery of internal audit reviews, to our portfolio of clients (+/- 50 CSSF-supervised entities), while ensuring alignment with the professional standards and the Code of Ethics issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
He holds a solid experience and understanding of the Luxembourg regulatory environment and regulatory requirements on key topics such as among others Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Internal and administrative organisation, AML/CFT, information technology general controls, portfolio management and MiFID II, credit activities, loan servicing, AIFM directive, etc. including key controls and practices thereof.
