Grant Thornton joined United Nations Global Compact initiative

We are proud to announce that Grant Thornton Luxembourg has become an official signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. With this action our firm actively promotes the adoption of UNGC’s Ten Universal Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

At Grant Thornton, our commitment to quality underpins everything we do. Our long-term success is the result of our genuine interest in our employees and clients; and the local communities and environment we operate. We recognise that the current challenging landscape requests, more than ever before, the need to adapt, reflect and contribute to a sustainable future for all.

“By joining the UNGC initiative, we commit to integrate its Ten Principles into our day-to-day operations. We engage to monitor our performance and to adjust accordingly to ensure our continuing success and wellbeing of our clients, colleagues and communities.” said Thierry Remacle, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Luxembourg.

“Wishing to reiterate our commitment to operate responsibly, we acknowledge that every small step we take, is a step towards the right direction”, he added.

About UN Global Compact:

Since 2000, it has been a force for good in the world, encouraging thousands of companies globally to commit to ten principles for sustainable business in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. The power of the UNGC lies in its simplicity and universality.

The principles can be applied by any company, no matter the industry, size or geography.

The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. Made up of more than 12.000 companies from 160 countries.
