Accountability in a GDPR world
06 Dec 2018LUXEMBOURG - On 5 December 2018, Grant Thornton Luxembourg held a conference with Christophe Buschmann of the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (CNPD) on the responsibilities related to the GDPR.
On several key aspects of the GDPR, the speakers shared a wealth of practical information with participants to help them comply or remain compliant with the GDPR, and thus demonstrate accountability. This information focused on internal processes and tools to be set up to achieve these objectives.
"Compliance with the GDPR and the requirement to be able to demonstrate the actions taken require continuous efforts. This is why Grant Thornton assists companies in defining and implementing methods and processes to reduce these efforts and maximise their effectiveness.", said Lionel Gendarme, Advisory Partner – Grant Thornton Luxembourg.
